We do not collect precise GPS location, financial card details, or biometric data.

Your information is used solely to provide and improve the MatrimonialApp service:

• Create and display your profile to potential matches
• Authenticate your identity via OTP or Google Sign-In
• Enable real-time messaging between matched users
• Send push notifications for interests and messages
• Filter and display relevant matches based on your preferences
• Process interest requests (send, accept, decline)
• Display targeted advertisements via Google AdMob
• Enforce safety rules (block/report functionality)

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase infrastructure:

• Firebase Firestore — stores user profiles, interests, notifications, block/report records
• Firebase Realtime Database — stores chat messages with real-time sync
• Firebase Authentication — handles secure OTP and Google Sign-In tokens

Firebase enforces server-side security rules ensuring users can only read/write their own data. All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encrypted connections.

Profile photos are stored as Base64 strings within Firestore documents rather than public file URLs, limiting direct public access.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. Data is shared only in these limited circumstances:

• Other App Users — Your profile (name, age, city, religion, photo, occupation) is visible to authenticated users browsing matches. Your phone number and email are never shown to other users.
• Google Firebase — Our backend provider processes data on our behalf under Google's data processing terms.
• Google AdMob — Receives device advertising identifiers to serve ads. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• Legal Requirements — We may disclose data if required by applicable law or court order.

MatrimonialApp collects sensitive personal data including religion, caste, and mother tongue — this is essential for matrimonial matchmaking purposes.

• This data is only used for displaying your profile and facilitating compatible matches
• It is never used for any discriminatory profiling or sold to advertisers
• You may choose not to fill optional fields like caste
• You can update or delete this information at any time from Edit Profile

You have full control over your data:

• Access — View all your data in My Profile screen
• Edit — Update your information anytime via Edit Profile
• Delete — Contact us to permanently delete your account and all associated data
• Block — Block any user from viewing your profile or messaging you
• Report — Report inappropriate users for admin review
• Notifications — Disable push notifications through Android system settings

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion:

• Your profile is removed from all match listings immediately
• Chat messages may remain in conversation history of other users
• Backup copies may persist for up to 30 days before permanent deletion
• Anonymized analytics data (if any) may be retained indefinitely

MatrimonialApp is intended strictly for users aged 18 years and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has registered on our platform, please contact us immediately and we will delete the account.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. For significant changes, we will notify users via in-app notification or email.
